You can continue to grow the salads and herbs that are bought from shops or supermarkets if sold with small round pots with soil in it. Rinse the pots and place the pots into the device. Remove excess soil if the pots flood. To continue growing the plants, the lamp and nutrition tablets are needed to produce more harvest.

The plants already have roots and in a few days, new growth can be seen when the roots strengthen. Add the full amount of nutrition according to the instructions. Check the correct amounts from the package label.

If growth discontinues or other external signs f. ex. leaves get brown, change the water and add new nutrition tablets as instructed.

Keep the pots and soil clean and remove loose or dead leaves.

Certain plants prefer the soil to be moist, while others prefer drier soil. The pump can even be turned off at times to allow the soil to dry. Separate timer can also be used.
